A simple, reliable and reproducible method, based on capillary zone electrophoresis with amperometric detection (CZE-AD), has been developed for simultaneous determination of five active ingredients in complicated traditional Chinese medicines including chlorogenic acid, caffeic acid, aloe-emodin, emodin and rhein.
