A fast, simple and accurate method to determine the concentration of E-1100, a novel beta-lactam antibiotic, in rat plasma has been developed. This method involves deproteinization by methanol with 0.2% perchloric acid and reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography with ultraviolet detection.
