The objective of this study was to determine the Vitamin C content in citrus fruits (orange, grape fruit, lemon) and non-citrus fruits (mango and papaya) purchased randomly from local market found at Saryab road of Quetta city in province Balochistan of Pakistan in order to analyzed their Vitamin C content by titrimetrically. During the present study, method used for the determination of Vitamin C content was cheap, accurate and can also be used for routine analysis. The results of present…

Determination of nutritional composition in citrus fruits (C. aurantium) during maturity
The result showed that the concentrations of antioxidants, total polyphenols, flavonoids, vitamin C, total chlorophyll, total acidity and antioxidant activity (DPPH%) decreased during the maturity of fruit while the value of pH and β-carotene increases.
Comparative Analysis of Ascorbic Acid Content and Antioxidant Activity of Some Fruit Juices in Syria
Fruits are considered essential constituents of a healthy diet. They possess antioxidant properties which can be attributed to the presence of antioxidant compounds. Ascorbic Acid (AA) is a water
Comparative Analysis of Ascorbic Acid Concentration in Two Varieties of Citrus (Citrus sinensis, Citrus limetta) Collected from Different Tehsils of District Sargodha, Pakistan
All the varieties have good source of vitamin c, but the highest concentration was reported in Citrus sinensis, which was collected from tehsil Sahiwal and that was 89.69 mg/100 mL, and lowest reported incitrus limetta 33.155 mg/ 100 mL, collected from Tehsil Silanwali.
Validation and Vitamin C Testing in Crystal Guava (Psidium guajava L.) With Variations of Origin With the HPLC Method (High Performance Liquid Chromatography)
Crystal guava contains high vitamin C. Vitamin C is contained in different fruits, one of the factors is the altitude of the fruit plant growing areas. This study aims to determine the level of
The determination of the vitamin C content of new ecotypes of cornelian cherry supported the identification of the most cost-efficient and accurate analytical method.
Color-break effect on Kinnow (Citrus nobilis Lour x Citrus deliciosa Tenora) fruit‘s internal quality at early ripening stages under varying environmental conditions
Abstract Peel coloration of Kinnow fruits at early maturation was used as a criteria to investigate the internal quality of fruit. Three districts namely Sargodha, Toba Tek Singh (TTS) and Vehari all
The Storage Effect against Vitamin C Content in crystal guava (Psidium guajava L.) Juice
Guava fruit (Psidium guajava L.) has many varieties, one of which is crystal guava. Crystal guava contains vitamin C which is easily oxidized by temperature. Therefore, this study aimed to determine
Minerals, Vitamin Contents and Antioxidant Activities of Pawpaw (Ciraca Papaya) and Pineapple (Ananas Comosus) Fruits Pulp
Fruits is indispensable in today’s world owing their tremendous health benefits. Pawpaw and pineapple are commonly consumed fruits worldwide. In this study, a methanol extract of pawpaw and pineapple
Effect of Different Storage Condition on pH and Vitamin C Content in Some Selected Fruit Juices (Pineapple, Pawpaw and Watermelon)
This research work was carried out to determine the suitable storage condition of fruit juices that will effectively retain their vitamin C content and pH level. Three different samples of fruits
Impact of varying agrometeorological indices on peel color and composition of Kinnow fruit (Citrus nobilis Lour x Citrus deliciosa Tenora) grown at different ecological zones.
Color development has directly influenced on maturity index and both were increased rapidly after color-break to afterwards and more color development with rapid reduction in chlorophyll, ascorbic acid and TPC level were seen in warm districts namely TTS and Vehari aftercolor-break stage due to accumulating more agrometeorological indices.

Vitamin C, also known as ascorbic acid, is a water soluble vitamin that is regarded as one of the safest and most effective nutrients. Vitamin C can be found in most fruits and vegetable. The
Polyphenol, Ascorbic Acid and Total Carotenoid Contents in Common Fruits and Vegetables Teores de Polifenóis, Ácido Ascórbico e Carotenóides Totais em Frutas e Hortaliças Usualmente Consumidas
SUMMARY This study was carried out to determine the concentration of some bioactive phytochemicals in fifteen fruits and fifteen vegetables commonly consumed in Recife-PE, Brazil. For each fruit and
Bioactive compounds and antioxidant capacities in different edible tissues of citrus fruit of four species
The results indicated that SM of citrus fruit were high in contents of bioactive compounds and TAC; it is thus recommended to consume citrus fruit with all edible tissues rather than juice or JS alone.
Determination of Ascorbic Acid in Vegetables by Derivative Spectrophotometry
Determination of ascorbic acid (AA) in garlic, green pepper and chestnut was performed by derivative spectrophotometry without using any pre-separation or background correction techniques. The method
HPLC organic acid analysis in different citrus juices under reversed phase conditions.
A reversed phase HPLC method for separation and quantification of organic acids (oxalic, citric, tartaric, malic, ascorbic and lactic acids) in fruit juices was developed. The chromatographic
The Voltammetric and Titrimetric Determination of Ascorbic Acid Levels in Tropical Fruit Samples
The levels of ascorbic acid in 50 tropical fruit samples were determined by titrimetric method using N- bromosuccinimide and also by cyclic voltammetry using a glassy carbon as working electrode,
Determination of Ascorbic Acid Content of Some Fruit Juices and Wine by Voltammetry Performed at Pt and Carbon Paste Electrodes
The influence of the operational parameters like the pulse amplitude and the pulse period on the analytical signal was investigated and a linear dependence between the peak height and ascorbic acid concentration was found.

It was not until 1753 that a Scottish physician, James Lind, systematically described scurvy and its prevention by dietary means, and for four decades the British navy refused to accept Lind's findings, and countless sailors continued to die unnecessarily from scurvard until lemon juice was finally included in sailors' rations.
Antioxidant Role of Ascorbic Acid and His Protective Effects on Chronic Diseases
Ascorbic acid (AA), commonly known as vitamin C, plays an important role in the human body, although its function at the cellular level is not yet clear. It is necessary for the synthe‐ sis of
