The presence of heavy metals in the environment could constitute hazard to food security and public health. They can be accumulated in aquatic animals such as fish. The objective of this study was to determine lead, cadmium, nickel and zinc concentration levels in sixteen brands of canned tuna in southern Iran. A total of 192 samples were collected.
