Determinants of dominance hierarchy in a captive group of pigtailed monkeys (Macaca nemestrina)

Abstract

Eighteen pigtailed monkeys, all strangers to each other, were placed together in a laboratory compound. Two infants were eliminated from the study shortly after group formation.
