Detection of gamma-carboxy glutamic acid residues in an extract of cock spermatozoa

Abstract

In a dialyzed extract of cock spermatozoa-containing proacrosin, a precursor of a trypsin-like endopeptidasegamma-carboxy glutamic acid residues (Gla) were detected. Such residues are know to exist in several zymogens of vitamin K-dependent serine proteases.
