Reported in this study are the experimental design and results of an immunosensor for the detection of the explosive, 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene (TNT) in seawater using a reversed-displacement format. This reversed-displacement immunosensor methodology has successfully measured TNT in seawater by direct injection, eliminating the need for preconcentration or pretreatment of samples.
