Objective To detect micrometastasis in the bone marrow of non small cell lung cancer(NSCLC) patients by flow cytometry. Methods The monotype fraction in bone marrow was isolated by Ficoll-Hypaque gradient centrifugation. The cells obtained were labeled with antibodies against CK19, then analyzed by FCM. Results Twenty five cases out of 96 patients with NSCLC were found to have micromatastasis in the bone marrow . No case was found in 20 lung benign twmor patients and 10 normal human.
