We present a detailed quantum oscillatory study on the Dirac type-II semimetallic candidates PdTe2 and PtTe2 via the temperature and the angular dependence of the de Haas-van Alphen (dHvA) and Shubnikov-de Haas (SdH) effects. In high quality single crystals of both compounds, i.e. displaying carrier mobilities between 10 3 and 10 4 cm 2 /Vs, we observed a large non-saturating magnetoresistivity (MR) which in PtTe 2 at a temperature T = 1. 3 K, leads to an increase in the resistivity up to 5… Expand

Type-II Dirac semimetal candidates ATe2 ( A= Pt, Pd): A de Haas-van Alphen study
We report on a magneto-transport and quantum oscillations study on high quality single crystals of the transition metal di-tellurides PtTe$_2$ and PdTe$_2$. The de Haas-van Alphen (dHvA) oscillationsExpand
Superconductivity under pressure in the Dirac semimetal PdTe2.
TLDR
A high-pressure study of the superconducting phase diagram extracted from ac-susceptibility and transport measurements on single crystalline samples finds that surface superconductivity may possibly have a non-trivial topological nature. Expand
Pressure-induced Lifshitz transition in the type II Dirac semimetal PtTe2

Quantum oscillations with angular dependence in PdTe2 single crystals.

The layered transition-metal dichalcogenide PdTe2 has been discovered to possess bulk Dirac points as well as topological surface states and the multiple band nature of Pd Te2 is further confirmed from Hall effect measurements. Expand
Thermal transport by electrons and phonons in PdTe2: an ab initio study.
TLDR
This work studies the lattice and electronic thermal conductivity of PdTe2 using mode-level ab initio calculations and finds its thermalonductivity is ∼35 W m-1 K-1 on the a-axis at room temperature, mainly attributed to the strong lattice anharmonicity and electron-phonon interactions. Expand
Electronic and topological properties of group-10 transition metal dichalcogenides.
TLDR
This review covers the experimental and theoretical progress on the physical phenomena influenced by the strong electron-electron correlation of the group-10 TMDs from the past to the present and emphasizes on the SC and topological phases in the bulk as well as in atomically thin materials. Expand
Enhanced, homogeneously type-II superconductivity in Cu-intercalated PdTe$_2$.
TLDR
As the critical temperature of the superconducting phase goes up from 1.7 K to 2.4 K on Cu-intercalation, the mixed phase disappears and the system comes homogeneously type-II, which may be attributed to an averaging effect caused by quasiparticle exchange between type-I and type- II domains mediated by the Cu atoms. Bulk Fermi Surfaces of the Dirac Type-II Semimetallic Candidates MAl_{3} (Where M=V, Nb, and Ta).
TLDR
dHvA supports the existence of tilted Dirac cones with Dirac type-II nodes located at 100, 230 and 250 meV above the Fermi level ϵ_{F} for VAl, NbAl_{3} and TaAl_{ 3} respectively, in agreement with the prediction of broken Lorentz invariance in these compounds. Expand
