We study s-wave meson-baryon scattering using the chiral unitary model. We consider 1/2 − baryon resonances as quasibound states of the low lying mesons (π, K, η) and baryons (N, Λ, Σ, Ξ). In previous works, the subtraction constants which appear in loop integrals were found to largely depend on the channels, and it was necessary to fit these constants to reproduce the data. In order to extend this model to all channels with fewer parameters, we introduce flavor SU(3) breaking interactions in…

Origin of resonances in chiral dynamics
• Physics
• 2009
The nature of baryon resonances is studied in the dynamical chiral coupled-channel approach for meson-baryon scattering. In general, origin of resonances in two-body scattering can be classified into

Meson-baryon nature of the Lambda(1405) in chiral dynamics
• Physics

Abstract We present recent progress in the study of the origin of baryon resonances in chiral dynamics. It is shown that in the chiral coupled-channel approach, the form of the interaction cannot be
The nature of the Λ(1405) resonance in chiral dynamics
• Physics

• Physics
• 2011
Abstract The interaction of Λ ⁎ = Λ ( 1405 ) with a nucleon is studied from the viewpoint of chiral dynamics. We construct the coordinate space Λ ⁎ N potential in the meson-exchange picture, which
Effective KN interaction based on chiral SU(3) dynamics
• Physics
• 2008
The effective KN interaction based on chiral SU(3) coupled-channel dynamics is derived and its extrapolation below the KN threshold is studied in detail. Starting from the coupled-channel scattering

Physical Review C
• 2018
A K¯N-πΣ-πΛ coupled-channel potential is constructed on the basis of chiral SU(3) dynamics. Several matching conditions are introduced to formulate an equivalent local potential that reproduces the
