Fiber-Array-Based Raman Hyperspectral Imaging for Simultaneous, Chemically-Selective Monitoring of Particle Size and Shape of Active Ingredients in Analgesic Tablets

A new fiber-array-based Raman hyperspectral imaging technique is presented for direct simultaneous in-situ monitoring of three different active pharmaceutical ingredients- acetylsalicylic acid, acetaminophen and caffeine- in analgesic tablets, which enables a chemically selective, noninvasive assessment of the distribution of the active ingredients down to 1 µm spatial resolution.

A methodological inter-comparison study on the detection of surface contaminant sodium dodecyl sulfate applying ambient- and vacuum-based techniques

This systematic inter-comparative approach produced and characterized sodium dodecyl sulfate films mimicking contamination on inorganic and organic substrates, with potential use as reference materials for ambient techniques, i.e., ambient mass spectrometry (AMS), infrared and Raman spectroscopy, to reliably determine amounts of contamination.

A framework for the statistical analysis of mass spectrometry imaging experiments

This research proposes a novel spatial shrunken centroids framework for performing classification and segmentation of MS imaging experiments with feature selection and provides Cardinal, a free and open-source R package for processing, visualization, and statistical analysis of MS Imaging experiments.

Probabilistic Segmentation of Mass Spectrometry (MS) Images Helps Select Important Ions and Characterize Confidence in the Resulting Segments*

Spatial shrunken centroids is introduced, a statistical model-based framework for both supervised classification and unsupervised segmentation that expresses both spatial and multivariate nature of the data using probabilistic modeling.

Quantification of selected antidepressants and antipsychotics in clinical samples using chromatographic methods combined with mass spectrometry: A review (2006-2015).

High specificity in combination with high sensitivity makes chromatography coupled with single or tandem mass spectrometry of selected antidepressants and antipsychotics of selected drugs an attractive complementary method to traditional procedures used in routine practice for TDM.

The interaction of keV cluster and MeV ions with insulating materials.

Secondary ion mass spectrometry (SIMS) is a well-known surface analysis technique with numerous applications in materials science. In recent years various types of primary ion beams have emerged to
