A cross-coupled bandpass filter isdesigned with quarter-wave stepped-impedance resonators (SIRs) onasingle circuit plane. Theentire circuit hasnotonlyacompact areasince half-sized SIRsareused, butalso awideupperstopband because thefirst spurious peakoccurs atafrequency muchhigher than thepassband. Plural transmission zerosonbothsides ofthe passband canberealized bynon-adjacent couplings andtapped input/output.
