Fluorophores that are conjugated with N-methylpyrrole-N-methylimidazole (Py-Im) polyamides postulates versatile applications in biological and physicochemical studies. Here, we show the design and synthesis of new types of pyrene-conjugated hairpin Py-Im polyamides (1-5).
