There is considerable interest in the development of an economic process for the conversion of nahlral gas to liquid transportation fuels. Such a process w i U allow the commercialization of many remote natural gas fields which are not now viable, Under DOE sponsorship, a conceptual plant design, cost and economics were developed for a grass-roots plant using Fischer-Tropsch technology to produce about 45,000 bbldday of liquid transportation fuels from 410 MMSCF/day of natural gas.
