Six species of digeneans, including three new host records, are described from the bogue Boops boops off the Spanish NE Atlantic and the Mediterranean coasts. The species involved are: Robphildollfusium martinezgomezi López-Román, Gijón-Botella, Kim & Vilca-Choque, 1992, Magnibursatus caudofilamentosa (Reimer, 1971) Gibson & Køie, 1991, Lepocreadium album Stossich, 1890, Steringotrema pagelli (van Beneden, 1871) Odhner, 1911, Tetrochetus coryphaenae Yamaguti, 1934 and Stephanostomum euzeti…
New records of rare derogenids (Digenea: Hemiuroidea) from Mediterranean sparids, including the description of a new species of Magnibursatus Naidenova, 1969 and redescription of Derogenes adriaticus Nikolaeva, 1966
The presence of derogenine and halipegine derogenids from two sparids, Diplodus annularis and D. sargus, from off the Mediterranean coast of Spain are reported on.
The biology of Boopsoidea inornata (Castelnau, 1861) and life history comparisons within the Sparidae
A preliminary survey of parasites infecting Boopsoidea inornata from four localities in South Africa was conducted and showed significant spatial differences in parasite assemblages.
Morphometrics and levels of infections of digeneans in belonid fish species off the coast of Tunisia
Three species of belonid fish caught off the eastern Tunisian coast were infected with eight species of Digenea, with new host records for B. svetovidovi and Tetrochetus coryphaenae and S. pacificus represent new host and geographical records.
Towards the resolution of the Microcotyle erythrini species complex: description of Microcotyle isyebi n. sp. (Monogenea, Microcotylidae) from Boops boops (Teleostei, Sparidae) off the Algerian coast
The results suggest that a molecular re-evaluation of other M. erythrini-like specimens from various fish hosts could reveal the existence of additional parasite biodiversity.
Nematode and acanthocephalan parasites of marine fish of the eastern Black Sea coasts of Turkey
A total of 625 fish belonging to 25 species were sampled from the coasts of Trabzon, Rize, and Artvin provinces and examined parasitologically and the infection rates, hosts, and morphometric measurements of the parasites are listed in this paper.
Microcotyle visa n. sp. (Monogenea: Microcotylidae), a gill parasite of Pagrus caeruleostictus (Valenciennes) (Teleostei: Sparidae) off the Algerian coast, Western Mediterranean
This is the fourth member of the genus known to parasitise a sparid host and is distinguished from Microcotyle erythrini van Beneden & Hesse, 1863, a congener infesting sparids, on the basis of morphological and molecular differences.
Monogeneans of the malabar grouper Epinephelus malabaricus (Perciformes, Serranidae) off New Caledonia, with a description of six new species of Pseudorhabdosynochus (Monogenea: Diplectanidae)
The presence of 11 species of monogeneans in this fish, after a previous published record of 12 species in E. maculatus, provides additional argument for existence of a very rich fauna of monogenans in groupers, and an impressive parasite biodiversity in coral reef fish in general.
Biodiversity and structure of parasite communities in Boops boops (Teleostei: Sparidae) from the Western Mediterranean and off the North East Atlantic coasts of Spain.
The present study carried out a detailed assessment of the metazoan parasite fauna in Boops boops (Sparidae) along the Spanish coasts off the Western Mediterranean and North-East Atlantic, which

Descriptions of Wardula bartolii n. sp. (Digenea: Mesometridae) and three newly recorded accidental parasites of Boops boops L. (Sparidae) in the NE Atlantic
Four species of digeneans parasitic in the bogue Boops boops from the Spanish coast of the NE Atlantic are described. All are new records for this host, but one species is new and the other three are
Redescriptions of Magnibursatus blennii (Paggi & Orechhia, 1975) n. comb. and Arnola microcirrus (Vlasenko, 1931) (Digenea: Derogenidae) from marine teleosts off Corsica
Two species of halipegine derogenids are redescribed in detail from marine fishes off Corsica. Following a study of specimens from blennies off Corsica and museum material, Tyrrhenia Paggi &
The status of Petalocotyle Ozaki, 1934 (Digenea: Gyliauchenidae), including the description of two new species from acanthurid fishes in Queensland, Australia
It is suggested that, of all the known genera of gyliauchenids, Petalocotyle may most closely resemble the `archaetypal gylIAuchenid', that is, it may be placed basally within the radiation of the Gyliaucauchenidae.
