The results of a survey on the species diversity of the families Cladiopsocidae and Dolabellopsocidae (Psocodea: 'Psocoptera': Psocomorpha: Epipsocetae) in Valle del Cauca and in the National Natural Park (NNP) Gorgona, Colombia, are presented. The specimens studied were collected in the context of two scientific projects, in which 12 species in the two families were identified, five in Cladiopsocidae and seven in Dolabellopsocidae. In the first family, Cladiopsocus presented a new record in…
Checklist of ‘Psocoptera’ (Psocodea) of Colombia and identification key to the families
We present a list of 720 species of ‘Psocoptera’ recorded in Colombia, based on the examination of specimens deposited in the collections of the Alexander von Humboldt Institute and in the
Diversity and vertical distribution of psocids (Psocodea: Psocoptera) in two forests of the Colombian Amazon
Introduction: The knowledge on the diversity of psocids in Colombia has increased, following the global trend, but the main interest of most of the studies has been oriented to solve taxonomic
New species of Cladiopsocus Roesler (Psocodea: 'Psocoptera': Psocomorpha: Cladiopsocidae) from the Colombian Amazonia.
The number of species in the genus is increased to 28, with two from Angola, and 26 from the Neotropics, with an identification key to the males of the neotropical species is included.
The genus Elaphopsocus Roesler (Psocodea: 'Psocoptera': Psocidae) with six new species from Brazil and Colombia.
Six new species of Elaphopsocus Roesler from Brazil and Colombia are described and illustrated and based on the structure of the male hypandrium and phallosome three species groups are recognized in Elaphopsis.

Ectopsocidae (Psocodea: 'Psocoptera') from Valle del Cauca and NNP Gorgona, Colombia.
Four of the Ectopsocus species are new to science and are here described and illustrated and the male of E. thorntoni García Aldrete is here described.
Phylogenetic relationships of the genera of Epipsocetae (Psocoptera: Psocomorpha)
The phylogenetic relationships of the genera of Epipsocetae were inferred on the basis of 122 morphological characters of adult specimens, corroborating the monophyly of the group with ten synapomorphies and indicating that Cladiopsocidae is paraphyletic.
Phylogeny and higher classification of suborder Psocomorpha (Insecta: Psocodea: 'Psocoptera')
Based on the results of the cladistic analysis, a higher classification for Psocomorpha is proposed and six infraorders (two new − Archipsocetae, HemipsOCetae − and the four aforementioned) are recognized.
Phylogeny of the suborder Psocomorpha: congruence and incongruence between morphology and molecular data (Insecta: Psocodea: ‘Psocoptera’)
The largest suborder of bark lice (Insecta: Psocodea: ‘Psocoptera’) is Psocomorpha, which includes over 3600 described species. We estimated the phylogeny of this major group with family-level taxon
Diversidad de Psocoptera (Insecta: Psocodea) en el Parque Nacional Natural Gorgona (Océano Pacífico, Colombia)
Diversity of Psocoptera (Insecta: Psocodea) at the National Natural Park Gorgona (Pacific Ocean, Colombia). Psocopterans are insects that have been recorded from all zoogeographic regions but have
Generic definitions and species assignments in the Family Epipsocidae (Psocoptera)
The family Epipsocidae is defined, with the addition of one character not previously used, and Definitions of genera based on the type species and seemingly close relatives result in 38 new combinations.
Molecular systematics of the suborder Trogiomorpha (Insecta: Psocodea: ‘Psocoptera’)
A new classification scheme for the Trogiomorpha is proposed, based on sequence data and morphological observations, and character states previously used to diagnose Psocathropetae are shown to be plesiomorphic.
Psocoptera (Insecta: Psocodea) from the National Natural Park Gorgona, Cauca, Colombia
The Psocoptera fauna of Gorgona National Natural Park, Colombian pacific, consists of 75 species in 42 genera and 21 families. 1 730 specimens were collected in the period November 2007-June 2011.
New species and records of Psocoptera (Insecta) from Roraima State, Brazil.
South American species assigned to genus LophopterygllaEnderlein by New (1979) are reassigned to Myopscus and represent a parallel development in the latter genus.
A new species of Steleops Enderlein, and a Colombian record of S. pulcher New (Psocodea: ‘Psocoptera’: Psocidae)
The forewings and antennae are sexually dimorphic, and the head pattern of coloration, as well as the genital structure, separates Steleops buitrerensis n.
