Two new species of Pericopini (Erebiidae, Arctiinae) are described from Guatemala: Gnophaela baileyi sp. nov . and Dysschema faustinoi sp. nov . Detailed species descriptions are based upon morphological and molecular characters as well as distributional data. Analyses of the CO1 locus (a 658 nucleotide sequence commonly referred to as a barcode) in 397 individuals of the genus Dysschema Hubner reveal that many taxonomic changes recently proposed by V. O. Becker are not supported by molecular…

Evolution of sexual dimorphism and polychromatism in a lineage of tiger moths (Lepidoptera: Erebidae): advancing knowledge of a taxonomically chaotic group
TLDR
The findings suggest that intersexual polychromatism and intersexual polymorphism for wing characters have arisen multiple times in the evolutionary history of Pericopina.
Taxonomic changes of some neotropical species of Arctiini Leach (Lepidoptera: Erebidae: Arctiinae).
TLDR
The taxonomy of some Neotropical species of this tribe of tiger moths is reviewed based on habitus and, in some cases, genitalia of type specimens.
Extreme sexual dimorphism and polymorphism in two species of the tiger moth genus Dysschema (Lepidoptera: Erebidae): association between males and females, sexual mimicry and melanism revealed by integrative taxonomy
TLDR
This study tested and corroborated hypothesized associations between sexes of D. marginata and D. terminata using DNA barcodes, and redescribed the two species, with comments on morphology and discussion on the polymorphism.
Arctiini Leach, [1815] (Lepidoptera, Erebidae, Arctiinae) of the Brazilian Amazon. II — Subtribe Pericopina Walker, [1865]
This study aims to identify and record specimens of the lepidopteran tribe Arctiini from the Brazilian Amazon, as well as update the previous lists of this tribe, based on specimens from collections
Catalogue of the Neotropical Arctiini Leach, [1815] (except Ctenuchina Kirby, 1837 and Euchromiina Butler, 1876) (Insecta, Lepidoptera, Erebidae, Arctiinae)
TLDR
A catalogue of the subtribes Phaegopterina Kirby, 1892, and Callimorphina Walker, [1865] of the Neotropical Region (from Mexico to the southern end of South America) is presented.
Additions and corrections to the check list of the Noctuoidea (Insecta, Lepidoptera) of North America north of Mexico
Abstract A total of 64 additions and corrections are listed and discussed for the check list of the Noctuoidea of North America north of Mexico published in 2010. One family-group name is inserted,
Additions and corrections to the check list of the Noctuoidea (Insecta, Lepidoptera) of North America north of Mexico III
TLDR
A total of 124 additions and corrections are listed and discussed for the check list of the Noctuoidea of North America north of Mexico published in 2010, with eight changes involve the renumbering of existing species for better taxonomic arrangement.

Descriptions of two new species of Hemileucinae (Lepidoptera: Saturniidae) from the region of Muzo in Colombiaevidence from morphology and DNA barcodes
TLDR
The two new species of Hemileucinae described from the region of Muzo (Boyaca department) in the Eastern Cordillera of Colombia are described and the potential of DNA barcoding to support taxonomic work in species-groups considered difficult to address through morphology is emphasized.
Morphology and DNA barcoding reveal three cryptic species within the Xylophanes neoptolemus and loelia species-groups (Lepidoptera: Sphingidae)
TLDR
Three new species are described within the genus Xylophanes, of which the first is known only from Guerrero and Michoacan states in Mexico while the second is widely distributed in lowland forests of Central America and the third is relatives of X. neoptolemus.

TLDR
In order to update the neotropical Arctiinae catalogue, 38 synonymies, 52 genus changes, 10 species revalidations and 4 status changes are proposed and the new genus Pseudepimolis n.
