Dermatopontin (DPT), a component of the extracellular matrix (ECM), is involved in promotion of cellular adhesion and ECM assembly activities. However, the role of DPT in the pathogenesis of carcinoma is unclear. We evaluated DPT expression in human oral cancer and its possible roles including cellular adhesion and invasiveness.
