Depression of lingual tactile sensation during chemical stimulation of the human tongue.

Abstract

The subjectively estimated magnitude of human tactile sensation elicited by tapping the tongue was depressed during taste stimulation by 3 and 6% NaCl solution, 0.1% quinine and 0.5% acetic acid.
