A unique C2-symmetrical 4,4'-bis(7-hydroxy)indole alkaloid, dendridine A (1), was isolated from an Okinawan marine sponge Dictyodendrilla sp., and the structure was elucidated by spectroscopic data. Dendridine A (1) exhibited antibacterial and antifungal activities.
Simple indole alkaloids and those with a nonrearranged monoterpenoid unit.
This review covers the literature on simple indole alkaloids and those with a nonrearranged monoterpenoid unit. Newly isolated alkaloids, structure determinations, total syntheses and biologicalExpand
Racemosins A and B, two novel bisindole alkaloids from the green alga Caulerpa racemosa.
In a neuro-protective assay, compound 1 significantly attenuated the Aβ2(5-35)-induced SH-SY5Y cell damage with a 14.6% increase in cell viability at the concentration of 10μM when compared to epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG, 16.57% increase at 10 μM) as the positive control. Expand
