The c-myb protooncogene encodes a sequence-specific DNA-binding protein (c-Myb) that induces transcriptional activation or repression. We have identified three functional domains of the mouse c-Myb protein that are responsible for DNA binding, transcriptional activation, and negative regulation, respectively.
