Multi-band OFDM Alliance (MBOA) Ultra-wide band (UWB) is a candidate of IEEE 802.15.3a, the standard for high speed Wireless Personal Area Networks (WPAN). The Media Access Control (MAC) protocol of MBOA consists of distributed reservation period (DRP) and Prioritized contention access (PCA), where DRP provides flexible distributed slot reservation for Quality of Service (QoS) support.
