Abstract The frustrated Ising model on kagome lattice with nearest-neighboring antiferromagnetic interaction is investigated by using Monte Carlo simulation of the Wang–Landau algorithm and Glauber dynamics. The geometrical frustration leads to a particularly high degeneracy of ground states in this system.
