We discuss possible symmetries of effective theories describing spinless and spin 1 bosons, mainly to concentrate on an intriguing phenomenological possibility: that of a hardly noticeable strong electroweak sector at relatively low energies. Specifically, a model with both vector and axial vector strong interacting bosons may possess a discrete symmetry imposing degeneracy of the two sets of bosons (degenerate BESS model). In such a case its effects at low energies become almost invisible and the…

Structure of corrections to electroweak interactions in Higgsless models

Recently, Higgsless models of electroweak symmetry breaking have been proposed. Based on compactified five-dimensional gauge theories, these models achieve unitarity of electroweak boson

Vector and axial-vector resonances in composite models of the Higgs boson

A bstractWe provide a non-linear realisation of composite Higgs models in the context of the SU(4)/Sp(4) symmetry breaking pattern, where the effective Lagrangian of the spin-0 and spin-1 resonances

The light composite Higgs boson in strong extended technicolor

A bstractThis paper extends an earlier one describing the Higgs boson H as a light composite scalar in a strong extended technicolor model of electroweak symmetry breaking. The Higgs mass MH is made

Ideal fermion delocalization in Higgsless models

In this note we examine the properties of deconstructed Higgsless models for the case of a fermion whose SU(2) properties arise from delocalization over many sites of the deconstructed lattice. We

A Three site Higgsless model

We analyze the spectrum and properties of a highly deconstructed Higgsless model with only three sites. Such a model contains sufficient complexity to incorporate interesting physics issues related

Light composite Higgs boson from higher representations versus electroweak precision measurements: P

We investigate theories in which the technifermions in higher dimensional representations of the technicolor gauge group dynamically break the electroweak symmetry of the standard model. Somewhat

Electroweak corrections and unitarity in linear moose models

We calculate the form of the corrections to the electroweak interactions in the class of Higgsless models which can be deconstructed to a chain of SU(2) gauge groups adjacent to a chain of U(1) gauge

One-Loop Corrections to the T-Parameter in a Three Site Higgsless Model

Abstract: In this note, building on results previously reported on the S-parameter, we compute the one-loop chiral logarithmic corrections to the T -parameter in a highly deconstructed Higgsless

Beyond the three-site Higgless model

The three-site model has been offered as a benchmark or test case for studying the collider phenomenology of Higgs-less models. It is therefore appropriate to consider how well the three-site model

The Stueckelberg Field

In 1938, Stueckelberg introduced a scalar field which makes an Abelian gauge theory massive but preserves gauge invariance. The Stueckelberg mechanism is the introduction of new fields to reveal a
