Careful examination of the extant research on mindfulness as a clinical intervention gives us a snapshot in time of a rapidly emerging area of research and clinical interest. And, like most good snapshots of subjects in motion, it allows us to examine both the elements of the frame in clear focus and those that remain somewhat blurry and in need of further development.
