Tumor cell mitochondria are key biosynthetic hubs that provide macromolecules for cancer progression and angiogenesis. Soluble decorin protein core, hereafter referred to as decorin, potently attenuated mitochondrial respiratory complexes and mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) in MDA-MB-231 breast carcinoma cells.
