Linear programming (LP) technique is relevant in optimization of resource allocation and achieving efficiency in production planning particularly in achieving increased agriculture production of food crops (Rice, Maize, wheat, Pulses and other crops) . In this paper a Linear programming technique is applied to determine the optimum land allocation of 5 food crops by using agriculture data, with respect to various factors viz. Daily wages of labour and machine charges for the period 2004-2011…

Determination of Optimum Crop Mix Using Linear (LP) Programming among Small Holder Farmers in Agricultural Zone Four of Adamawa State, Nigeria

Linear programming was applied to farm data collected from 120 smallholder farmers in 2017/18 cropping season in agricultural zone four (4) of Adamawa state, Nigeria for the purpose of identifying

Improving farmers' net revenue in traditional context: Analytic Hierarchy Process, Expert System, and Linear Programming

A three-stage approach for crop selection in the context of traditional agriculture using a rule-based inference engine to improve farmers’ net revenue is proposed and the result shown that the system can effectively help farmers to improve their net revenues.

Analysis of operations research applications in agricultural research: A literature review

Agriculture is a productive process requiring the transformation of a set of productive inputs into output with the aim of satisfying wants. These inputs are limited and as such places a constraint
