To investigate the effect of experimentally created disordered occlusion (ECDO) on cell death and proliferation in rat mandibular condylar cartilage. Sprague–Dawley rats were randomly assigned to experimental and control groups. In the experimental groups, ECDO was created by the dental orthodontic method.
