Summary1.The incorporation of glucose-U-14C, glutamate-U-14C or palmitate-U-14C into the body constituents of the crayfish, Orconectes limosus, has been determined 3 and 24 hours after injection into the haemocoel. Animals in late autumn (October) and early spring (March) and just after molt have been studied.2.The results are summarized in the Table.3.Glucose and glutamate are metabolized with unexpected speed. 3 hours after injection only 10–30% of glucose remain unchanged in intermolt… Expand

Nachweis einer Regulation der Glucosaminbildung bei dem Flußkrebs Orconectes limosus zur Zeit der Häutung
TLDR
It is to be concluded, that there is a second regulation mechanism of chitin synthesis, operating presumably on the level of the chit in synthase itself, identified as a regulation point in chitinsynthese synthesis. Expand

TLDR
During the course of the year distinct changes can be noted regarding the total concentration and composition of carbohydrates; the accumulation was most intensiv during winter, depletion in early spring and molt did not cause a similar effect. Expand

Der Einfluß der Temperatur auf die chemische Zusammensetzung von Grillen (Gryllus, Orthopt.)
TLDR
Sex-dependent differences were demonstrated in the chemical composition of Gryllus at all temperatures, and an increase in lipids is correlated with a decrease in proteins, while the effects of a fluctuating temperature on the inorganic and organic constituents of hemolymph and tissue are very different.
