We investigate dark matter candidates emerging in recently proposed technicolor theories. We determine the relic density of the lightest, neutral, stable technibaryon having imposed weak thermal equilibrium conditions and overall electric neutrality of the Universe. In addition we consider sphaleron processes that violate baryon, lepton and technibaryon number. Our analysis is performed in the case of a first order electroweak phase transition as well as a second order one. We argue that, in… Expand
Superweakly interacting dark matter from the Minimal Walking Technicolor
We study a superweakly interacting dark matter particle motivated by minimal walking technicolor theories. Our WIMP is a mixture of a sterile state and a state with the charges of a standard modelExpand
Dark side of strongly coupled theories
We investigate the constraints of dark matter search experiments on the different candidates emerging from the minimal quasiconformal strong coupling theory with fermions in the adjointExpand
Ultraminimal technicolor and its dark matter technicolor interacting massive particles
We introduce an explicit model with technifermion matter transforming according to multiple representations of the underlying technicolor gauge group. The model features simultaneously the smallestExpand
Constraints on Majorana dark matter from a fourth lepton family
We study the possibility of dark matter in the form of heavy neutrinos from a fourth lepton family with helicity suppressed couplings such that dark matter is produced thermally via annihilations inExpand
Muon flux limits for Majorana dark matter from strong coupling theories
We analyze the effects of the capture of dark matter (DM) particles, with successive annihilations, predicted in the minimal walking technicolor model (MWT) by the Sun and the Earth. We show that theExpand
Asymmetric dark matter, baryon asymmetry and lepton number violation
Abstract We study the effect of lepton number violation (LNV) on baryon asymmetry, generated in the early Universe, in the presence of a dark sector with a global symmetry U ( 1 ) X , featuringExpand
Naturality, unification, and dark matter
We consider a model where electroweak symmetry breaking is driven by technicolor dynamics with minimal particle content required for walking coupling and saturation of global anomalies. Furthermore,Expand
Spontaneous baryogenesis from extremely light asymmetric dark matter
We present a mechanism where a particle asymmetry in one sector is used to generate an asymmetry in another sector. The two sectors are not coupled through particle number violating interactions andExpand
Composite dark matter from a model with composite Higgs boson
In a previous paper [Phys. Rev. D77, 065002 (2008)], we showed how the minimal walking technicolor model can provide a composite dark matter candidate, by forming bound states between a -2Expand
Scalar bilepton dark matter
In this work we show that 3-3-1 model with right-handed neutrinos has a natural weakly interacting massive particle (WIMP) dark matter candidate. It is a complex scalar with mass of order of someExpand

Towards working technicolor: Effective theories and dark matter
A fifth force, of technicolor type, responsible for breaking the electroweak theory is an intriguing extension of the standard model. Recently new theories have been shown to feature walking dynamicsExpand
Cosmology with light axions from technicolor
Abstract We consider cosmological consequences of the spontaneous breaking of a global symmetry that is anomalous under technicolor interactions, leading to the emergence of a light axion-likeExpand
Some estimates of interaction in matter of neutral technibaryons made of colored constituents
Abstract We estimate the cross section of a slow technibaryon made of colored constituents with nuclei. This estimate is based on analogy with QED two-photon forces between a charge (the quark) and aExpand
On the Anomalous Electroweak Baryon Number Nonconservation in the Early Universe
Abstract We estimate the rate of the anomalous electroweak baryon-number non-conserving processes in the cosmic plasma and find that it exceeds the expansion rate of the universe at T > (a few) × 102Expand
First results from the Cryogenic Dark Matter Search in the Soudan Underground Laboratory.
First results from a search for weakly interacting massive particles (WIMPs) in the Cryogenic Dark Matter Search experiment at the Soudan Underground Laboratory set the world's lowest exclusion limits on the coherent WIMP-nucleon scalar cross section for all W IMP masses above 15 GeV/c2, ruling out a significant range of neutralino supersymmetric models. Light composite Higgs boson from higher representations versus electroweak precision measurements: P
We investigate theories in which the technifermions in higher dimensional representations of the technicolor gauge group dynamically break the electroweak symmetry of the standard model. SomewhatExpand
Technocosmology — could a technibaryon excess provide a “natural” missing mass candidate?
Abstract It is pointed out that if: (a) at least one technibaryon is very stable (τ ⩾ 10 20−25 yr) and (b) a technibaryon excess is built up at the early stages of the big bang with magnitudeExpand

Electroweak Fermion Number Violation and the Production of Stable Particles in the Early Universe
The effect of electroweak fermion number violation in the early universe is to distribute a fermion number excess over all the electroweak doublets. If baryogenesis is due to physics above the weakExpand
