I begin by briefly reviewing the evidence for the existence of Dark Matter (DM), emphasizing that {\em many} observations, at length scales between kpc (the size of the smallest galaxies) and Gpc (the Hubble radius) can be described by the same simple model, $\Lambda$CDM. I will then argue that primordial black holes, the only DM candidates that can be realized within the Standard Model (SM) of particle physics, are very unlikely to provide all of DM. After giving a (probably incomplete) list…

Phase-space mass bound for fermionic dark matter from dwarf spheroidal galaxies
• Physics
• 2018
We reconsider the lower bound on the mass of a fermionic dark matter (DM) candidate resulting from the existence of known small Dwarf Spheroidal galaxies, in the hypothesis that their DM halo is
Dark Matter Production in an Early Matter Dominated Era
• Physics
• 2018
We investigate dark matter (DM) production in an early matter dominated era where a heavy long-lived particle decays to radiation and DM. In addition to DM annihilation into and thermal DM production
The SIMPlest Miracle

It has recently been proposed that dark matter could be a thermal relic of 3-to-2 scatterings in a strongly coupled hidden sector. We present explicit classes of strongly coupled gauge theories that

A bstractWe investigate the production of neutralino dark matter in a cosmological scenario featuring an early matter dominated era ending at a relatively low reheating temperature. In such scenarios

Minimal Dark Matter (MDM) is a theoretical framework highly appreciated for its minimality and yet its predictivity. Of the two only viable candidates singled out in the original analysis, the scalar

The nature of the dark matter that binds galaxies remains an open question. The favored candidate has so far been the neutralino. This massive species with evanescent interactions is now in
