We show that, leaving aside accelerated cosmic expansion, all experimental data in high energy physics that are commonly agreed to require physics beyond the Standard Model can be explained when completing the model by three right-handed neutrinos that can be searched for using present-day experimental techniques. The model that realizes this scenario is known as the Neutrino Minimal Standard Model (nu MSM). In this article we give a comprehensive summary of all known constraints in the nu MSM…
Sterile neutrinos in the early universe
Although the Standard Model of elementary particles successfully describes the Universe up to the smallest known scales, we know that there exists a number of observational phenomena, which do not
Neutrinoless double $\beta$ decay and low scale leptogenesis
The extension of the Standard Model by right handed neutrinos with masses in the GeV range can simultaneously explain the observed neutrino masses via the seesaw mechanism and the baryon asymmetry of
New physics models with sterile neutrinos at different energy scales
Neutrino mass requires new physics beyond the Standard Model: sterile neutrinos are one such example. In general the mass scale of such particles is unknown, so that different model building
Leptogenesis from oscillations of heavy neutrinos with large mixing angles
A bstractThe extension of the Standard Model by heavy right-handed neutrinos can simultaneously explain the observed neutrino masses via the seesaw mechanism and the baryon asymmetry of the Universe
Reconciling resonant leptogenesis and baryogenesis via neutrino oscillations
Right-handed neutrinos offer an elegant solution to two well established phenomena beyond the Standard Model (SM)—masses and oscillations of neutrinos, as well as the baryon asymmetry of the
Implication of Sterile Fermions in Particle Physics and Cosmology
The neutrino mass generation mechanism, the nature of dark matter and the origin of the baryon asymmetry of the Universe are three compelling questions that cannot be accounted for in the Standard
Two radiative inverse seesaw models, dark matter, and baryogenesis
The inverse seesaw mechanism allows the neutrino masses to be generated by new physics at an experimentally accessible scale, even with (1) Yukawa couplings. In the inverse seesaw scenario, the
Testing the low scale seesaw and leptogenesis
A bstractHeavy neutrinos with masses below the electroweak scale can simultaneously generate the light neutrino masses via the seesaw mechanism and the baryon asymmetry of the universe via
Neutrino masses, leptogenesis and dark matter from small lepton number violation?.
We consider the possibility of simultaneously addressing the baryon asymmetry of the Universe, the dark matter problem and the neutrino mass generation in minimal extensions of the Standard Model via
Astrophysical constraints on resonantly produced sterile neutrino dark matter
Resonantly produced sterile neutrinos are considered an attractive dark matter (DM) candidate only requiring a minimal, well motivated extension to the standard model of particle physics. With a

Sterile neutrinos as the origin of dark and baryonic matter.
We demonstrate for the first time that three sterile neutrinos alone can simultaneously explain neutrino oscillations, the observed dark matter, and the baryon asymmetry of the Universe without new
Kinetic equations for baryogenesis via sterile neutrino oscillation
We investigate baryogenesis in the νMSM (neutrino Minimal Standard Model), which is the SM extended by three right-handed neutrinos with masses below the electroweak scale. The baryon asymmetry of
Deriving models for keV sterile neutrino Dark Matter with the Froggatt-Nielsen mechanism
Sterile neutrinos with a mass around the keV scale are an attractive particle physics candidate for Warm Dark Matter. Although many frameworks have been presented in which these neutrinos can fulfill
Sterile neutrinos as dark matter.
TLDR
This model is reexamine and it is found that hot, warm, and cold dark matter are all possibilities and the number density of sterile neutrinos is proportional to [mu][sup 2]/M so that the energy density today is independent of M, which is crucial in determining the large scale structure of the Universe.
Lightest sterile neutrino abundance within the nuMSM
We determine the abundance of the lightest (dark matter) sterile neutrinos created in the Early Universe due to active-sterile neutrino transitions from the thermal plasma. Our starting point is the
Restrictions on the lifetime of sterile neutrinos from primordial nucleosynthesis
We analyze the influence of decaying sterile neutrinos with the masses in the range 1-140 MeV on the primordial Helium-4 abundance, explicitly solving the Boltzmann equations for all particle
Flavour Mixing of Neutrinos and Baryon Asymmetry of the Universe
Abstract We investigate baryogenesis in the νMSM, which is the Minimal Standard Model (MSM) extended by three right-handed neutrinos with Majorana masses smaller than the weak scale. In this model
Neutrinos And Big Bang Nucleosynthesis
According to the standard models of particle physics and cosmology, there should be a background of cosmic neutrinos in the present Universe, similar to the cosmic microwave photon background. The
Sterile neutrino dark matter as a consequence of nuMSM-induced lepton asymmetry
It has been pointed out by one of the authors (Shaposhnikov 2008Preprint0804.4542) that in the νMSM (Standard Model extended with three right-handed neutrinos with masses smaller than the electroweak
The Role of Sterile Neutrinos in Cosmology and Astrophysics
We present a comprehensive overview of an extension of the Standard Model that contains three right-handed (sterile) neutrinos with masses below the electroweak scale [the Neutrino Minimal Standard
