A bstractSkyrmions are present in many models of electroweak symmetry breaking where the Higgs is a pseudo-oldstone boson of some strongly interacting sector. They are stable, composite objects whose mass lies in the range 10–100 TeV and can be naturally abundant in the universe due to their small annihilation cross-section. They represent therefore good dark matter candidates. We show however in this work that the lightest skyrmion states are electrically charged in most of the popular little…
Partially composite dark matter
A bstractIn a class of theories where the Higgs field emerges as a pseudo Nambu-Goldstone boson, it is often assumed that interactions to generate the top Yukawa coupling provide the Higgs potential
Generalized skyrmions in QCD and the electroweak sector
A bstractWe discuss the stability and masses of topological solitons in QCD and strongly-interacting models of electroweak symmetry breaking with arbitrary combinations of two inequivalent Lagrangian
Perturbative and Nonperturbative Aspects of the Phenomenology of Composite Higgs Models
The discovery of the Higgs boson announced by CERN on July 4th 2012 was expected by the particle physics community since a long time. Indirect evidence that a Higgs boson must be present in the mass
Topological Dark Matter from the Theory of Composite Electroweak Symmetry Breaking
The lightest electroweak baryon as a topological object is investigated by using a general effective Lagrangian of composite electroweak symmetry breaking and the spin-independent electroweak
Electroweak-Skyrmion as topological dark matter
A bstractWe show the existence of a nontrivial topological configuration of the Higgs field in the Standard Model with the Skyrme term. It is shown that the current upper bound of the mass of the
Phenomenology and cosmology of an electroweak pseudo-dilaton and electroweak baryons
A bstractIn many strongly-interacting models of electroweak symmetry breaking the lowest-lying observable particle is a pseudo-Goldstone boson of approximate scale symmetry, the pseudo-dilaton. Its

The little skyrmion: new dark matter for little Higgs models
We study skyrmions in the littlest Higgs model and discuss their possible role as dark matter candidates. Stable massive skyrmions can exist in the littlest Higgs model also in absence of an exact
Topological dark matter in little Higgs models
We show that certain little Higgs models with symmetry breaking SU(N){yields}SO(N) for N{>=}4 admit topologically stable solitons that may contribute to cosmological dark matter. We have constructed
The little Higgs from a simple group
We present a model of electroweak symmetry breaking in which the Higgs boson is a pseudo-Nambu-Goldstone boson. By embedding the standard models SU(2) × U(1) into an SU(4) × U(1) gauge group,
Little Higgs bosons from an antisymmetric condensate
We construct an SU(6)/Sp(6) non-linear sigma model in which the Higgses arise as pseudo-Goldstone bosons. There are two Higgs doublets whose masses have no one-loop quadratic sensitivity to the
The Strongly-Interacting Light Higgs
We develop a simple description of models where electroweak symmetry breaking is triggered by a light composite Higgs, which emerges from a strongly-interacting sector as a pseudo-Goldstone boson.
The Minimal Composite Higgs Model
Anomalies in Fermionic UV Completions of Little Higgs Models
We consider fermionic UV completions of little Higgs models and their associated T-parity-violating anomalous vertices. In particular, we investigate strategies to avoid such parity-violating
The bestest little Higgs
While little Higgs models provide an interesting way to address the hierarchy problem, concrete models in the literature typically face two major obstacles. First, the mechanism for generating a
Topological Physics of Little Higgs Bosons
Topological interactions will generally occur in composite Higgs or Little Higgs theories, extra-dimensional gauge theories in which A5 plays the role of a Higgs boson, and among the pNGB's of
The Minimal Moose for a Little Higgs
Recently a new class of theories of electroweak symmetry breaking have been constructed. These models, based on deconstruction and the physics of theory space, provide the first alternative to
