Visualization tools are becoming more important as ontologies increase in size and complexity. One example of a large ontology is the Drug Ontology developed at the Medical Informatics Group using GALEN classification techniques. It will provide a reference terminology for PRODIGY; a project providing computerized medicine prescribing guidelines for primary healthcare in the UK.
