Background The Cyprus Association of Cancer Patients and Friends (PASYKAF) was established in 1986 by a small group of cancer patients aiming to improve cancer care in Cyprus, initially for psychosocial support. Seventeen years later PASYKAF has a multidisciplinary home care service in each of the major towns in the free areas of Cyprus. This home care service is free standing with no dedicated beds.
