TLDR
Assemblages of foraminifera were studied at two depths (surface sediment obtained from shallow water 80m ) in Comau Fjord, Chiloe, Chile and two distinct communities were described.
Foraminíferos Bentónicos recolectados durante la expedición CIMAR 14 Fiordos, Patagonia Chilena
TLDR
Compared to the results obtained in previous surveys, there was an increase in the number of sand-foraminifera, and some species- mostly marine- were replaced by more euryhaline ones.
Familia Cassidulinidae (Protozoa: Foraminiferida) en canales y fiordos patagónicos chilenos
TLDR
A total of 164 marine superficial sediments samples were collected in the channels and fjords area of Chile in order to investigate the presence of the Cassidulinidae family and it was identified 12 species, classified in 4 genera.
Foramíferos Bentónicos de Seno Gallegos y Bahía Brookes (54,5° S - 69,5° S), Chile: patrones de distribución y diversidad
ABSTRACTThis paper describes the distribution pattern and diversity of benthic foraminifera from Gallegos sound and Brookes Bay (XII Region, Chile) and the relationships with the particle size and
FORAMINÍFEROS (PROTOZOA: FORAMINIFERIDA) DEL ESTUARIO DEL RÍO CONTACO (40°33'S; 73°43'O), CHILE
Despite the well documented clear relationships between modern assemblages and their ecological controls, there is scarce information on the distribution patterns of benthic foraminifera in paralic
Spatial and Vertical Benthic Foraminifera Diversity in the Oxygen Minimum Zone of Mejillones Bay, Northern Chile
Mejillones Bay is located in northern Chile (23°S) and is influenced by an Oxygen Minimum Zone (OMZ), with oxygen levels below 0.5 ml l–1. This area presents particular ecological characteristics,
First Records and Community Pattern of Arcellinida Inhabiting a Pristine and Remote Island from Southeastern Pacific, Chile
TLDR
Investigation of the species composition and community structure of lobose thecamoebians (Arcellinida) inhabiting an unpopulated and pristine island from the southeastern Pacific revealed low alpha diversity and a high proportion of cosmopolitan species.
