A model for a quantum register dissipatively coupled with a bosonic thermal bath is studied. The register consists of $N$ qubits (i.e. spin ${1/2}$ degrees of freedom), the bath is described by $N_b$ bosonic modes. The register-bath coupling is chosen in such a way that the total number of excitations is conserved. The Hilbert space splits allowing the study of the dynamics separately in each sector. Assuming that the coupling with the bath is the same for all qubits, the excitation sectors… Expand

Dissipation and decoherence in a quantum register
A model for a quantum register $\mathcal{R}$ made of $N$ replicas of a $d$-dimensional quantum system (cell) coupled with the environment is studied by means of a Born-Markov master equation (ME).Expand
Dissipative quantum state preparation and metastability in two-photon micromasers
• Physics

We study the preparation of coherent quantum states in a two-photon micromaser for applications in quantum metrology. While this setting can be in principle realized in a host of physical systems, weExpand
Dynamics and Protecting of Entanglement in Two-Level Systems Interacting with a Dissipative Cavity: The Gardiner-Collett Approach
• Physics
• 2015
In this paper, we study the exact entanglement dynamics of two two-level atoms in a dissipative cavity. We use the Gardiner-Collett Hamiltonian to model the dissipative cavity, in which, we assumeExpand
Collective quantum decoherence induced by qubit–electron interaction

Abstract We investigate a model of quantum register composed of N qubits coupling with itinerant electrons by adopting the Born–Markov master equation. Decoherence induced by this coupling is studiedExpand

We analyze the dynamics of entanglement due to decoherence in a system of two identical fermions with spin $3/2$ interacting with a global bosonic environment. We resort to an appropriate measure ofExpand
Decoherence, Control, and Symmetry in Quantum Computers
Methods for avoiding the detrimental effects of decoherence while at the same time still allowing for computation of the quantum information are described and explicit gate constructions for encoded universality on ion trap and exchange based quantum computers are given. Expand

Universal quantum computation on decoherence-free subspaces and subsystems (DFSs) is examined with particular emphasis on using only physically relevant interactions. A necessary and sufficientExpand

We study the entanglement dynamics and relaxation properties of a system of two interacting qubits in the cases of (I) two independent bosonic baths and (II) one common bath. We find that in the caseExpand

In this paper, we first introduce a system consisting of two dissipative cavities in which there exists a two-level atom in each cavity. The correlation between these two separate cavities isExpand
Effect of unitary noise on Grover's quantum search algorithm
• Physics

The effect of unitary noise on the performance of Grover's quantum search algorithm is studied. This type of noise may result from tiny fluctuations and drift in the parameters of the (quantum)Expand
