The paper presents a simple and precise HPTLC method for determination of delphinine from berry extracts. Delphinidin was extracted with a mixture of methanol acidified with hydrochloric acid 25 % and separated on HPTLC silica gel 60F254 plates with ethyl acetate, toluene, water and formic acid 12:3:0.8:1.2 (v/v/v/v) as mobile phase within 20 minutes.
