This work presents an extended, neutral hydrogen emission map around Magellanic-type dwarf irregular galaxy (dIm) NGC 1569. In the spring of 2010, the Robert C. Byrd Green Bank Telescope was used to map a 9° × 2° region in H I line emission that includes NGC 1569 and IC 342 as well as two other dwarf galaxies. The primary objective for these observations was to search for structures potentially connecting NGC 1569 with IC 342 group members in order to trace previous interactions and thus…

Probing the interstellar medium of NGC 1569 with Herschel
• Physics
• 2014
NGC1569 has some of the most vigorous star formation among nearby galaxies. It hosts two super star clusters (SSCs) and has a higher star formation rate (SFR) per unit area than other starburst dwarf
UGC 4703 Interacting Pair Near the Isolated Spiral Galaxy NGC 2718: A Milky Way Magellanic Cloud Analog
• Physics
• 2017
We present an analysis of physical and morphological properties of an interacting pair of dwarf galaxies, UGC 4703, located in the vicinity of an isolated Milky Way (MW) type spiral galaxy NGC 2718.
Blasting away a dwarf galaxy: the ‘tail’ of ESO 324-G024
• Physics
• 2015
We present Australia Telescope Compact Array radio data of the dwarf irregular galaxy ESO 324-G024 which is seen in projection against the giant, northern lobe of the radio galaxy Centaurus A (Cen A,
Understanding star formation and feedback in small galaxies
• Physics
Astronomy & Astrophysics
• 2020
Context. Low-luminosity, active star-forming blue compact galaxies (BCGs) are excellent laboratories for investigating the process of star formation on galactic scales and to probe the interplay
Evidence for an Interaction in the Nearest Starbursting Dwarf Irregular Galaxy IC 10
• Physics
• 2013
Using deep 21?cm H I data from the Green Bank Telescope we have detected an 18.3?kpc long gaseous extension associated with the starbursting dwarf galaxy IC 10. The newly found feature stretches 1.?3

A case study for a tidal interaction between dwarf galaxies in UGC 6741
• Physics
• 2015
We present a case study of the tidal interaction between low mass, star-forming, galaxies initially found exploring the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) images and further analyzed with SDSS
A Catalog of Merging Dwarf Galaxies in the Local Universe
• Physics
The Astrophysical Journal Supplement Series
• 2018
We present the largest publicly available catalog of interacting dwarf galaxies. It includes 177 nearby merging dwarf galaxies of stellar mass M$_{*}$ $<$ 10$^{10}$M$_{\sun}$ and redshifts z $<$
DISCOVERY OF A GAS-RICH COMPANION TO THE EXTREMELY METAL-POOR GALAXY DDO 68
• Physics
• 2014
We present H I spectral-line imaging of the extremely metal-poor galaxy DDO 68. This system has a nebular oxygen abundance of only ~3% Z ☉, making it one of the most metal-deficient galaxies known in
THE NEXT GENERATION VIRGO CLUSTER SURVEY. XXII. SHELL FEATURE EARLY-TYPE DWARF GALAXIES IN THE VIRGO CLUSTER*
• Physics
• 2017
The Next Generation Virgo Cluster Survey is a deep (with a 2σ detection limit μ_g = 29 mag arcsec^(−2) in the g-band) optical panchromatic survey targeting the Virgo cluster from its core to virial
