  • Introduction Alyphatic unsaturated hydrocarbons, like olefins and diolefins, are formed during both thermal and catalytic cracking of heavy petroleum fractions. Among these compounds, conjugated dienes are particularly reactive for polymerization and are known to contribute significantly to the instability of the resulting fuels.
