Three new species of Pseudodactylogyrus (Monogenea: Pseudodactylogyridae) from Australian eels.
TLDR
A phylogenetic tree based on the ITS2 region of six species of Pseudodactylogyrus including P. gusevi and P. mundayi shows that P. haze from a goby diverged first, and that species from eels are monophyletic, forming three lineages differing by their zoogeographical distribution. Expand
Gobioecetes biwaensis n. g., n. sp. (Monogenea: Dactylogyridae) from the gills of a freshwater gobiid fish, Rhinogobius sp. BW Takahashi & Okazaki, 2002, with a redescription of Parancyrocephaloides daicoci Yamaguti, 1938.
TLDR
The type species of the genus, Parancyrocephaloides daicoci Yamaguti, 1938, is redescribed based on newly collected specimens from a marine dactylopterid, Dactyloptena peterseni, and the type specimens, revealing that it has a pair of vestigial bars supporting dorsal hamuli. Expand
