Transport properties are investigated in the two-dimensional dual dynamics of AdS3 gravity. By providing boundary conditions that deform the Lagrange multipliers, we construct a lower dimensional model comprising two copies of chiral boson excitations with anisotropic scaling symmetry. Using bosonization, an electric current is identified. By means of the Kubo formula, we find a DC conductance depending on the level of the theory and the dynamical exponents. The bulk realization of the linear… Expand

Edge‐State Transport
The most striking feature of the quantum Hall effect is the remarkably precise quantization of the Hall conductance. It was in 1980 that von Klitzing observed unanticipated plateaus in the HallExpand
The anisotropic chiral boson
Abstract We construct the theory of a chiral boson with anisotropic scaling, characterized by a dynamical exponent z that takes positive odd integer values. The action reduces to that ofExpand
Integrable Systems and Spacetime Dynamics.
It is shown that the Ablowitz-Kaup-Newell-Segur (AKNS) integrable hierarchy can be obtained as the dynamical equations of three-dimensional general relativity with a negative cosmological constant.Expand
Integrable systems and the boundary dynamics of higher spin gravity on AdS3
We introduce a new set of boundary conditions for three-dimensional higher spin gravity with gauge group $SL(3,\mathbb{R})\times SL(3,\mathbb{R})$, where its dynamics at the boundary is described byExpand
Asymptotic dynamics of AdS3 gravity with two asymptotic regions
The asymptotic dynamics of AdS$_3$ gravity with two asymptotically anti-de Sitter regions is investigated, paying due attention to the zero modes, i.e., holonomies along non-contractible circles andExpand
Boundary conditions for General Relativity in three-dimensional spacetimes, integrable systems and the KdV/mKdV hierarchies
Abstract We present a new set of boundary conditions for General Relativity on AdS3, where the dynamics of the boundary degrees of freedom are described by two independent left and right membersExpand
Near horizon dynamics of three dimensional black holes

Black hole memory effect
We compute the memory effect produced at the black hole horizon by a transient gravitational shockwave. As shown by Hawking, Perry, and Strominger (HPS) such a gravitational wave produces aExpand

Soft hairy horizons in three spacetime dimensions
We discuss some aspects of soft hairy black holes and a new kind of "soft hairy cosmologies", including a detailed derivation of the metric formulation, results on flat space, and novel observationsExpand
