Department of Physics, The University of Tokyo, Tokyo 113-0033, Japan(Dated: February 1, 2008)We investigate braneworld cosmology based on the D-brane initiated in our previous paper. Thebrane is described by a Born-Infeld action and the gauge field is contained. The higher ordercorrections of an inverse string tension will be addressed. The results obtained by the truncatedargument are altered by the higher order corrections. The equation of state of the gauge field onthe brane is radiation-like…
Quintessential inflation on the brane and the relic gravity wave background
Quintessential inflation describes a scenario in which both inflation and dark energy (quintessence) are described by the same scalar field. In conventional braneworld models of quintessential
Maps of CMB lensing deflection from N-body simulations in Coupled Dark Energy Cosmologies
We produce lensing potential and deflection-angle maps in order to simulate the weak gravitational lensing of the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) via ray-tracing through the COupled Dark Energy
The Ekpyrotic Universe

Brane world cosmology
A simple model of the brane-world cosmology has been proposed, which is characterized by four parameters, namely, the bulk cosmological constant, the spatial curvature of the universe, the radiation
Hagedorn inflation of D-branes
We examine the cosmological eects of the Hagedorn phase in models where theobservable universe ispictured asaD-brane. It isshown that, even inthe absence of a cosmological constant, winding modes
Thermal equilibration of brane-worlds
Abstract We analyze the thermodynamical properties of brane-worlds, with a focus on the second model of Randall and Sundrum. We point out that during an inflationary phase on the brane, black holes
Brane-world solutions, standard cosmology, and dark radiation
Abstract New exact solutions of brane-world cosmology are given. These solutions include an arbitrary constant C , which is determined by the geometry outside the brane and which affects the
Space - like branes
Scalar field theories with appropriate potentials in Minkowski space can have time-dependent classical solutions containing topological defects which correspond to S-branes-i.e. branes all of whose
Brane gases in the early Universe
Over the past decade it has become clear that fundamental strings are not the only fundamental degrees of freedom in string theory. D-branes are also part of the spectrum of fundamental states. In
Dynamic dilatonic domain walls
Abstract Motivated by the “universe as a brane” idea, we investigate the motion of a (D−2)-brane (or domain wall) that couples to bulk matter. Usually one would expect the space-time outside such a
Towards inflation in string theory
We investigate the embedding of brane inflation into stable compactifications of string theory. At first sight a warped compactification geometry seems to produce a naturally flat inflaton potential,
Hagedorn inflation: Open strings on branes can drive inflation
We demonstrate an inflationary solution to the cosmological horizon problem during the Hagedorn regime in the early universe. Here the observable universe is confined to three spatial dimensions (a
Brane-world creation and black holes
An inflating brane world can be created from ``nothing'' together with its anti\char21{}de Sitter (AdS) bulk. The resulting space-time has compact spatial sections bounded by the brane. During
