The purpose of the present research was to conduct a histological study of the broiler chickens’ liver (cross "Ross-308") separated into two groups: control and experimental, both kept in the same conditions. Broiler chickens from the experimental group got a biologically active comprehensive vitamin-mineral feed supplement «Ekstraselen-Vit» with drinking water at the dose of 0.1 ml per 1 liter continuously from 15 to 42 days of cultivation. Found that in the control group observed…

Effects of faba bean tannins on the growth and histological structure of the intestinal tract and liver of chicks and rats.
TLDR
Diets containing a freeze-dried tannin extract from faba beans at concentrations of 0, 8 and 16 g/kg were fed to growing chicks and rats, showing high mortality and significant decreases in body-weight as well as lower food intakes and higher food intake:weight gain ratios.
Comparative study of the effects of organic selenium on hen performance and productivity of broiler breeders
TLDR
The results favour the use of Se-yeast at the dose of 0.5 mg/kg in broiler breeder diets for better productivity of eggs, settable eggs, hatchability and higher Se accumulation and antioxidant status in eggs.
Effects of dietary medium-chain fatty acids on performance, carcass characteristics, and some serum parameters of broiler chickens
TLDR
It is indicated that dietary MCFA has a positive effect on the health and productivity of broiler chickens.
Supplementation of Vitamin E and C Reduces Oxidative Stress in Broiler Breeder Hens during Summer
TLDR
It could be concluded that the combination of vitamins C and E at lower level had higher erythrocytic antioxidant status in coloured broiler breeder hens as compared to individual vitamin supplementation during hot and humid stress.
Vitamin and trace mineral content in feed of breeders and their progeny: effects of growth, feed conversion and severity of malabsorption syndrome of broilers
TLDR
The immune system can be stimulated by addition of vitamins and trace minerals, without affecting the growth potential of the controls, and when breeders received a high mix the number of infiltrating polymorphonuclear leukocytes in the intestine was higher compared with breeders receiving basal amounts of minerals and vitamins.
Influence of organic selenium supplementation on the accumulation of toxic and essential trace elements involved in the antioxidant system of chicken
TLDR
Investigation of the interactions between selenium (Se) and various trace elements, both toxic and essential, involved in the antioxidant system found Supplementation with Se-yeast not only increased Se concentration but also reduced Cd concentration in the tissues.
Effect of beta-carotene, canthaxanthin, lutein, and vitamin E on neonatal immunity of chicks when supplemented in the broiler breeder diets.
TLDR
Chicks hatched from hens supplemented with vitamin E had significantly higher antibody titers at 1 and 7 d of age than chicks from the control group, and vitamin E supplementation of breeder birds increased the immune response of their progeny.
Effects of nano-selenium on performance, meat quality, immune function, oxidation resistance, and tissue selenium content in broilers.
TLDR
Based on a consideration of all experiment indexes, 0.3 to 0.5 mg/kg is suggested to be the optimum level of supplementation of nano-Se, and the maximum supplementation could not be more than 1.0mg/kg in broilers.
Effect of selenium sources on the expression of cellular glutathione peroxidase and cytoplasmic thioredoxin reductase in the liver and kidney of broiler breeders and their offspring.
TLDR
Investigation of the effect of different sources of selenium (Se) on the expression of cellular glutathione peroxidase (GPx1) and cytoplasmic thioredoxin reductase (TrxR1) in the liver and kidney of broiler breeders and their offspring by quantitative real-time PCR showed that, compared with sodium selenite, SY or SM significantly increased the activity of TrxR2 but not the GPx1.
Histopathological Effects of Cholesterol and Protective Effects of Vitamin E and Selenium on the Morphology of Liver
TLDR
It has been concluded that the mechanism of the injury may be involved in the accumulation of toxic bile acids or the generation of free radicals from cholesterol oxidation products and the growth factors may be released into the hepatic sinusoids to activate stellate cells and to initiate fibrogenesis.
