A T4+ lymphoblastoid cell line (CR-10) persistently infected with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and designated CR-10/NIT was superinfected with cytomegalovirus (CMV) isolated from peripheral blood mononuclear cells of a patient with AIDS.
