Cyclovirobuxine D is an active compound extracted from Buxus microphylla, which has been used for treating acute myocardial ischemia in China. The present study was to investigate its mechanism on myocardial ischemia. Cyclovirobuxine D significantly increased cardiomyocytes viability injured by oxidation or hypoxia.
