With the help of cyclic prefix (CP), the single carrier (SC) systems with frequency domain equalizer (FDE) have the same advantages and performances as those of the traditional orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems. In addition, the SC systems are less sensitive to frequency synchronization error and RF impairments such as power amplifier nonlinearities.
