Distributed, reactive software systems, e.g. process control tools, can be modelled with the Unified Modelling Language (UML). Recently such UML models are used to generate source code automatically. Because of the complexity of UML, it is necessary to restrict the usage of its constructs by defining UML profiles to allow the automatic generation of source code.
