A curvature self-interaction of the cosmic gas is shown to mimic a cosmological constant or other forms of dark energy, such as a rolling tachyon condensate or a Chaplygin gas. Any given Hubble rate and deceleration parameter can be traced back to the action of an effective curvature force on the gas particles. This force self-consistently reacts back on the cosmological dynamics. The links between an imperfect fluid description, a kinetic description with effective antifriction forces and…
Dynamical Study of a Constant Viscous Dark Energy Model in Classical and Loop Quantum Cosmology
Dynamical behaviors and stability properties of a flat space Friedmann–Robertson–Walker universe filled with pressureless dark matter and viscous dark energy are studied in the context of standard
Cosmic acceleration without dark energy
In this work, we investigate the global dynamics of the universe within the framework of the Interacting Dark Matter (IDM) scenario. Considering that the dark matter obeys the collisional Boltzmann
Interacting holographic dark energy
We demonstrate that a transition from decelerated to accelerated cosmic expansion arises as a pure interaction phenomenon if pressureless dark matter is coupled to holographic dark energy whose
Interacting viscous dark energy in a Bianchi type-III universe
We study the evolution of the equation of state of viscous dark energy in the scope of Bianchi type III space-time. We consider a case where the dark energy is minimally coupled to the perfect fluid,
Viscous Dark Energy in $f(T)$ Gravity
We study the bulk viscosity taking dust matter in the generalized teleparallel gravity. We consider different dark energy (DE) models in this scenario along with a time-dependent viscous model to
Interacting viscous dark energy in Bianchi type-I Universe
A solution to the coincidence and Big Rip problems on the bases of an anisotropic space-time is proposed. To do so, we study the interaction between viscous dark energy and dark matter in the scope
Maxwell-Boltzmann gas with nonstandard self-interactions: A novel approach to galactic dark matter
Using relativistic kinetic theory, we study spherically symmetric, static equilibrium configurations of a collisionless Maxwell-Boltzmann gas with nonstandard self-interactions, modeled by an
Could dark matter interactions be an alternative to dark energy
We study the global dynamics of the universe within the framework of the Interacting Dark Matter (IDM) scenario. Assuming that the dark matter obeys the collisional Boltzmann equation, we can derive
Viscous dark energy and phantom field in an anisotropic universe
In this paper we have investigated the general form of viscous and non-viscous dark energy equation of state (EoS) parameter in the scope of anisotropic Bianchi type I space-time. We show that the
Dark Energy: The Shadowy Reflection of Dark Matter?
The cosmological model with matter content in the form of a thermodynamically-involved DM fluid not only interprets the observational data associated with the recent history of Universe expansion, but also confronts successfully with every majorcosmological issue.

Cosmological evolution of the rolling tachyon
Abstract The cosmological effects of the tachyon rolling down to its ground state are discussed by coupling a simple effective field theory for the tachyon field to Einstein gravity. As the tachyon
Quintessence, the gravitational constant, and gravity
Dynamical vacuum energy or quintessence, a slowly varying and spatially inhomogeneous component of the energy density with negative pressure, is currently consistent with the observational data. One
Cosmological thermodynamics and deflationary gas universe
We establish a general thermodynamic scheme for cosmic fluids with internal self-interactions and discuss equilibrium and non-equilibrium aspects of such systems in connection with (generalized)
Conformal Symmetry and Cosmological Entropy Production
An exactly solvable model according to which the viscous pressure is a consequence of a self-interacting one-particle force which is self-consistently exerted on the microscopic particles of a relativistic gas is established.
Can structure formation influence the cosmological evolution
The back reaction of structure formation influences the cosmological evolution equation for the homogenous and isotropic average metric. In a cold dark matter universe this effect leads only to small
Cosmological imprint of an energy component with general equation of state
We examine the possibility that a significant component of the energy density of the Universe has an equation of state different from that of matter, radiation, or cosmological constant ({Lambda} ).
Cosmic antifriction and accelerated expansion
We explain an accelerated expansion of the present Universe, suggested from observations of supernovae of type la at high redshift, by introducing an antifrictional force that is self-consistently

It is argued that a number of models in which the energy density of the scalar field red-shifts in a specific manner are studied could reconcile the low dynamical estimates of the mean mass density with the negligibly small spatial curvature preferred by inflation.
Stationary dark energy: The Present universe as a global attractor
We propose a cosmological model that makes a significant step toward solving the coincidence problem of the near similarity at the present of the dark energy and dark matter components. Our cosmology
Field Theory of Tachyon Matter
We propose a field theory for describing the tachyon on a brane–antibrane system near the minimum of the potential. This field theory realizes two known properties of the tachyon effective action:
