The current-induced motion of a domain wall in a semicircle nanowire with applied Zeeman field is investigated. Starting from a micromagnetic model we derive an analytical solution which characterizes the domain-wall motion as a harmonic oscillation. This solution relates the micromagnetic material parameters with the dynamical characteristics of a harmonic oscillator: i.e., domain-wall mass, resonance frequency, damping constant, and force acting on the wall. The time derivative of the current…
Time-resolved imaging of nonlinear magnetic domain-wall dynamics in ferromagnetic nanowires
Direct time-resolved x-ray microscopy of structural transformations of domain Walls during motion is presented and the creation and the mutual annihilation of domain walls are observed.
Domain-wall dynamics in multisegmented Ni/Co nanowires
The current-induced motion of transverse magnetic domain walls (DWs) in a multisegmented Co/Ni nanowire is investigated numerically. We find that the phase diagram current pulse length magnitude
Current-Driven Magnetization Dynamics : Analytical Modeling and Numerical Simulation
In this thesis the magnetization dynamics, driven by spin-polarized currents or magnetic fields, in nanostructured thin films is investigated by means of analytical and numerical calculations. These
Curvature-induced domain wall pinning
It is shown that a local bend of a nanowire is a source of pinning potential for a transversal head-to-head (tail-to-tail) domain wall. Eigenfrequency of the domain wall free oscillations at the
Effect of nonadiabatic spin transfer torque on domain wall resonance frequency and mass
The dynamics of a magnetic domain wall in a semi circular nanowire loop is studied by an analytical model and micromagnetic simulations. We find a damped sinusoidal oscillation of the domain wall for
On the Statics of Transverse Domain Walls in Ferromagnetic Nanostrips
In this article, we investigate the static properties of the transverse domain wall in ferromagnetic nanostrip under the influence of a uniform transverse magnetic field. We perform the analysis
Synchronous precessional motion of multiple domain walls in a ferromagnetic nanowire by perpendicular field pulses
A radically different approach is demonstrated: out-of-plane magnetic field pulses are used to move in-plane domains, thus combining field-induced magnetization dynamics with the ability to move neighbouring domain walls in the same direction.
Time-resolved imaging of current-induced domain-wall oscillations
Current-induced domain-wall dynamics is investigated via high-resolution soft x-ray transmission microscopy by a stroboscopic pump-and-probe measurement scheme at a temporal resolution of 200 ps. A
